Joy Is…

…the burst of POW that bubbly makes when uncorked…unconditional love and life…being oneself with no apologies…imperfectionism…being comfortable in my own skin, muffin top, fake boob, wrinkles, and gray hair sprouting…seeing the past as a lesson not a regret…knowing the most important part of living is relishing one day at a time instead of worrying about the future…giving up control by letting go and letting God…following the voice of intuition despite outside voices shouting, ‘NO’…putting down technology so as to really connect with others…learning to listen without giving an opinion…accepting others as they are…being alive…laughing out loud…making someone smile…staying up all night to read a good book…being thankful for all…having a job…having money to buy groceries, fill up the tank with gas, pay bills…eating ice cream for dinner…being a daughter of two parents soon to reach their 87th birthdays…knowing ‘this too shall pass’…enjoying the empty nest…doing something nice for someone, out of the blue and on the sly…pets of any kind…being silent…seeing God in all the changing seasons…not complaining but appreciating…blowing bubbles…never losing the essence of the child within…seeing the sunrise and the sunset every day…being scared to move out of the comfort zone but doing it anyway…falling asleep while talking to God…being a parent…unexpected surprises…riding the hurricane of life and coming out stronger on the other side…faith…hope…courage…believing anything is possible…
